Fall Master Bedroom Reveal

I’m changing things up a little in our master bedroom for the fall season. From removing the canopy, to fresh paint, new wall art and updating the headboard, this new look is simple, cozy and neutral chic.Little touches of fall bedroom decor.Fall bedroom touches Today I’m sharing my latest home decor update. This one sort of happened by chance I suppose. If you recall, I recently worked on a campaign with TempurPedic. If you missed that post you can certainly check it out here. After that post was done it naturally led to this one. For the most part I like to update accessories throughout the house when a new season arrives. Most of the changes I make are small but enough to give a nice impact to the overall look of a room. This time I decided to give my bedroom a little more than an update. You can take a look at previous posts of my bedroom here and here.

The biggest change I think to the overall decor is the new headboard. We had a wrought iron headboard for many years and I wanted to update the look of the bed by giving it a more soft polished feel. The tufted headboard was the perfect solution to that idea and we love it. The other furniture change was getting rid of the big knotty pine storage bench that came along with my husband. He had it for years as a bachelor and honestly, I thought it was time to part with it, and the fact that I just never liked it. I decided to get this pretty and practical sitting bench to replace it with. It’s sturdy, nicely padded and well built. In keeping with the tufted look of the headboard, the sitting bench also lends a softer look and blends well with the rest of the decor.

Little touches of fall bedroom decor.

I sprinkled the room with orange and blue for the fall season. Since I didn’t want to go all out with tons of fall items I kept it simple. The inspiration for the fall colors came from the large print-on-canvas photo above the headboard. This was a photo I shot while at the beach over the summer and had it enlarged using Easy Canvas Prints. I can’t say enough about this photo lab. The final product came out absolutely gorgeous, shipping was quick and on time and their prices are incredible!Little touches of fall. #bedroomdecorUpdating the look of a room is super easy when all you have to do is update pillows and throws. I like to rotate my pillows throughout the year with great covers to swap based on the season. Needlepoint covers are not only wonderful but lend a touch of glam. The blue velvet is perfect for the season while maintaining a low profile.

Little touches of fall for the bedroom.Touches of fall bedroom decor.I like to keep my dresser clutter free and simple. I have a large closet down the hall from my bedroom where I store all of my handbags and costume jewelry. I keep my fine jewelry in these pretty jewelry boxes and any perfumes I’m currently using on the dresser. The pewter lamps are vintage finds that I dressed with simple jute shades. The Venetian mirror is another vintage find that I preferred over the mirror that came with the dresser. I love to incorporate antiques into my decor and these pieces work nicely. This mirror is another option that would look fabulous with the rest of the decor theme.
