Little Black Swing Dress

We had fun taking pictures for this outfit post. The day was dark and dreary and rain drops falling sparingly. While it wasn’t optimum conditions for a photo op, I very much enjoyed the wind blowing the pretty little yellow leaves off the trees creating a yellow autumn cascade.

I’m finally transitioning my wardrobe into darker tones and I love it. With that, I don’t often wear dresses during the fall and winter seasons and typically stick to jeans and slacks. But I do enjoy putting on a simple dress that can take me places.

I found this cute swing dress and it works as the perfect throw on and go, no-fuss type. Layered with a little silk scarf gives it a nicer dressed up look. And I love that it’s so versatile. I think next time I’ll throw on my favorite denim jacket or sweater blazer and my riding boots for a weekend of leaf peeping!
