Plaid & Faux Fur

#plaid#plaid1 I can easily transition this outfit from Sunday brunch to a night out in the town. Because the dress is sleeveless, my little faux fur jacket comes in handy. Instead of piling on the layers this is all I need to stay warm and at the same time add a little glamour.#fauxfur7#fauxfur1#fauxfur2The suede pumps blend everything well together and gives me the extra height I’m always in need of.blackpumps#blackpumps#fauxfur(Dress, ATLoft, on sale now! | Faux Fur Cropped Jacket, old, H&M, similarPumps & Ring, Express | Earrings, old, J. I’m so glad the #fauxfur thing is alive and happening, no pun intended. There was a time you wouldn’t dare to be seen with a fake anything let alone a fur coat! But today’s fashion standards have lapsed quite a bit, to the point that faux is so chic! It is all the rave and for good reason. The average girl just can’t go out and splurge on a mink at the toss of her tresses, hence the wannabe. But it’s all good, I like the idea of no animals getting hurt by my purchases.

The plaid detail on the dress makes it old school and classic, sans a string of fresh water pearls. The faux fur jacket is totally chic and modern. Together I’ve created a very simple but elegant look. What’s your take on faux fur?
