CONSIDER THE LOCATION AND WEATHER

THE COURSE The Masters is the only major golf event that is held at the same location every year. The Augusta National Golf Club is located in Augusta, Georgia, and is known for its manicured fairways, flower beds, and ponds.

SEASON The main event takes place in the spring in April, so like any other golf game, it’s important to consider the weather conditions. April is a transitional month, so you can expect temperatures creep up to an average high of 78°F and lows of 54°F. During this month, many of the spring foliage and flowers are at their best, making this month one of the best to enjoy the tournament.

WEATHER The weather is somewhat unpredictable which means you should be prepared for anything. While planning any trip it’s best not to overpack, but in this case that doesn’t apply. Waterproof light jackets are essential for unexpected showers, while removable layers (cardigans and light knits) will keep you warm and will also help you cool down as the weather warms up by peeling them off throughout the day.
