Today I’m sharing some of my tips for packing and what I’m bringing for my spring break trip to Miami. I’m really looking forward to spending some time in the sunshine state and visiting my son. I’ll follow up with more travel posts while having fun in Miami and all of my outfits!
We’re starting off with my favorite travel items. The Delsey Paris Chatelet Spinner is by far my favorite luggage piece and I don’t travel without it and LLBean’s large zip tote. JCRew also has this great weekender tote simialr to LLBean’s and both are fantastic as carry-on’s!

I tend to overpack and it’s the hardest thing by far for me to control. Having said that, I now consolidate what I bring by planning out my outfits in detail ahead of time. This is a little time consuming but so worth the effort. Not only is this useful for packing, but it also takes the guesswork out of getting ready while on the trip.
I make sure to include all the appropriate underwear and accessories to coordinate with my outfits as well. There’s nothing worse than bringing that cute dress to wear but forgetting the right bra! When I pack I roll my clothing instead of folding. It not only makes more room but it avoids less wrinkles.
And always make sure to use those handy shoe bags that sometimes come with your name brand shoes. It keeps them looking new when in storage but more importantly, they keep the rest of your clothes from getting dirty when packing from any residue.

MAKEUP / BEAUTY ACCESSORIES
I’ve found so many great items on Amazon that make packing my makeup and beauty products so easy to organize. I typically store most of my makeup arsenal within my luggage but I carry some makeup essentials with me in a smaller cosmetics bag in my carry on for touch ups. I also use another cosmetics bag for other toiletries such as hair products, deodorant, etc. Scout bags makes really durable makeup bags that are great for this! And this large capacity travel cosmetic bag is fantastic. It’s waterproof, a great organizer, spacious and durable!
