Among the many wardrobe items I packed for my trip to Miami was this lovely Lilly Pulitzer shift dress. You can’t possibly go to Florida and not wear a Lilly dress, after all that’s where all things Lilly began. Not exactly in Miami, but just a few towns up the coast in Palm Beach, nonetheless, any Lilly dress is a great dress when in the sunshine state.
Today is the last day to take advantage of LILLY PULITZER DURING THE SEASON’S ONE & ONLY SALE. Everything is 30% off sitewide and in stores!

My visit to Miami was to spend time with my son since he recently moved to Florida. I couldn’t wait to see him and his new living quarters. And true to his nature, everything was just like I imagined it would be. Loud, exciting and beautiful, so like him! He lives in a high rise in downtown Miami. One of the best amenities is the gorgeous rooftop pool with a hot tub tucked away in a corner nearby among the palm trees. He often sits out here to do work and jokes as he calls it his ‘office.’ The panoramic views from his apartment of the Miami skyline is fabulous during the day, just imagine what it looks like all lit up in neon tropical Floridian colors at night!
My visit was wonderful but weatherwise it was a letdown. It rained most of the time we were there, it felt like a tropical storm rolled in. We did what little we could with the bare minimum. We ventured to the nicest restaurants and ate wonderful dishes. We drove around avoiding floods while touring the coastal region. We went to Brickell Centre Mall which was actually pretty cool, unlike any other mall I’ve been too. They even had a fantastic upscale mini golf where Glor practiced her putting, which was great on a rainy day.
At one point we had a brief moment where the sun peeked through and Glor jumped in the water but it didn’t last long. All in all, I can not, will not complain. My visit was worth every moment. To spend time with my son whom I’ve missed so much was all I wanted to do. I look forward to the next time I get to see him again…
