I can’t believe we’re already halfway into summer! What with my son’s wedding under our belt it feels like this summer is flying by quicker than other summers. Or maybe it’s because my daughter is just acting so grown all of a sudden.
Anyway, my summer is flying by but two things remain constant, the heat and a few of my summer wardrobe staples. Sometimes I go through outfit phases where I basically wear the same things and rotate through them over and over again. Does anyone else ever do this? Here are a couple of the items I’ve been wearing on repeat this summer. They happen to be some of the items I tend to pull out almost always every summer…
LINEN BUTTON DOWN SHIRT
Perhaps the most versatile of all of my summer wardrobe peices ever, for obvious reasons!
Worn tucked, untucked, tied or as a coverup on the beach, this wardrobe item is a must. I have several of these in white, blue and a few others in various colors, cuts, styles, and blends.
Whether 100% linen or line/cotton blends these shirts are perfect for just about all occasions.
LINEN WIDE LEG PANTS
My second favorite summer wardrobe outfit item! Part of my coastal grandmother outfit ensemble, linen wide leg pants are not only versatile but they’re just plain comfortable often with an elastic waistband. And as you can see, I can wear them from the beach straight to dinner, they’re that perfect. All I have to do is change my top!
WHITE SKINNY JEANS
Another one of my favorite summer wardrobe items I wear over and over again are my white skinny jeans. These have been in my outfit posts more often than not, and for good reason. They’re easy to style and look great with anything. I own too many pairs to shamefully admit, although just a few are my favorites arguably they are painfully necessary…
