An Early Spring Tablescape

I love dressing up our dinner table and while I don’t do it often, I usually keep it simple with either a runner or tablecloth and fresh flowers as a centerpiece, today I’m sharing an early spring tablescape I recently created for brunch. I find that one of the easiest ways to infuse personality into your tablescape is by incorporating lovely linens and mix matching patterns. In this particular setting I mixed the light blue gingham napkins with the stripes and eyelet runner and the blue and white of the plates and ginger jar. They meld so well together in creating a soft spring theme.

Natural materials in everyday items and decor have been en vogue in recent years. I like to incorporate pieces that give a subtle layer of texture and seagrass is the one element that is consistent for bringing an otherwise boring setting to life. I love how it adds a coastal flair and is great for transitioning from winter to spring and especially summer when we’re all about the outdoors and coastal living. Give your table setting a personal touch by incorporating your favorite colors, patterns and textures and add seasonal touches, like I did with the fresh tulips for spring or for a summer tablescape with touches of sea life decor.
