Indian Summer has a way of playing with us. During the day the temps reach over 75℉ and then overnight drop to well below 50°. In September fifty degrees feels very cold after coming out of 85° days.
I relish this time of year for so many reasons. The beautiful transition that takes place is in full display. I think the fall foliage is absolutely wonderful and everywhere I drive it just gets more and more intense by the day. And then there are the many wonderful baked goodies I make with apples and pumpkins. The whole family gathers in my kitchen waiting to be the first to try. And then of course are those soft cozy items to wear by a fire or when jumping on the wagon for a hay ride!
