A Monochromatic Winter Look

In the past week we’ve had quite an interesting array of weather in Connecticut. From a polar vortex of sub zero degrees to a nice coating of snow followed by almost 60 degree temps! I’ve learned to roll with the punches when it comes to outfits for the winter which brings me to this simple monochromatic look that can easily be replicated! When the temps fluctuate my coats go on rotation. I’m wearing this super cuddly-times-a-million faux fur coat I recently found. It is the coat that us bloggers are obsessed with, often referred to as ‘the teddy coat.’ I actually had a hard time finding one I really loved for the simple reason that if you’re not careful you can end up looking more like a polar bear than a chic girl.

I loved this one for several reasons; the cute buttons, super soft feels, the winter white color and its slightly tailored cut, so you don’t look too puffy. It was so popular it has since sold out but I’m linking this one and this one that are similar in style and price range. This is the coat you’ll wear year after year well after the teddy trend is gone. Who doesn’t love a good faux fur coat?!How to style the winter whites. And you know I’m still wearing my favorite lace-up boots! These exact ones have also sold out but you can check these nordic boots and these which are both near exact to the ones I’m wearing. My Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Chevron bag is back in stock! It happens to be my favorite crossbody because I love it’s simple chic look and how incredibly versatile it is for day or night! Of course you can always check out its high end counterpart here.
