Our weather in Connecticut has thrown me for a loop. The past week or so has been incredibly cooler than normal, especially at night forcing me to incorporate summer pieces into pre-fall looks. My white skinnies are transitioning nicely especially since I’m not ready to part with them just yet. Once fall is officially here, September 22, I’ll put everything white away (sort of), except of course for the occasional Oxford…Today’s transitional look consists of my favorite white jeans and my other favorite olive jacket. I love how these two colors jive so well. My jacket is a couple years old and comes with a detachable faux fur collar that I attach when it’s really cold. I’ve worn this jacket so many times that it’s become an old favorite, and for good reason.
It’s one of those pieces that gives so much mileage. Every fall I take it out and layer it with many tops and scarves. This one comes in various colors including a fab camo print AND it’s under $40! I especially love the tunic length on this one with a flattering cinched waist.Jacket, similar here and here | Tote | Jeans | Booties
If you remember, this tote along with the booties were part of my shopping haul during the Nordstrom sale. First seen here with a dress, this tote is HUGE! It’s spacious enough to lug everything but the kitchen sink! The stripes never go out of style, has an optional top-zip pouch inside and comes in one other color palette. Perfect for the fall season, I’ll bring it along to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch!
I hope your summer has been a great one. Our weather here is beautiful but it’s been much cooler than normal in the past several days. Enjoy your week ahead!
