Style Collective Sisters Meetup

Over the weekend I met up with some fellow Connecticut blogger babes at a favorite local restaurant. We gathered at Bartaco located in West Hartford center for a fun afternoon of cocktails and small bites. It’s a great blogger friendly restaurant that definitely enhanced our celebration for a fantastic community of bloggers known as Style CollectiveStyle Collective sisters meetup, Connecticut.Ever since I began this journey known as blogging I found myself in a giant world of creators yet felt quite alone at times. I wanted to find a place within the blogosphere that would not only help empower me but provide real guidance. I had to maneuver my way through the myriad of ‘groups and communities’ that offer a lot with nothing in return. I took my time reading and researching other bloggers and what they had to say when I finally came across Style Collective. I joined the group early this year and have found exactly what I needed, a multitude of fun and exciting resources and people that truly care. As a blogger you don’t have to go it alone and having a fantastic community of like minded individuals who are happy to lend a hand is an integral part of blogging success.

We spent our afternoon sipping on cocktails, (which is a must for every girl gathering) accompanied by fabulous small plates. Bartaco was absolutely amazing and incredibly generous for hosting our event. We sat and chatted and got know each other. We compared notes on when and how each got started, where each of us are now and where we would like to be and helped each other with ideas and encouragement. It was a fun and terrific way to meet with fellow #girlbosses who empower you to do what you love.

Now on to the highlights! My favorite drink is this Seasonal Caipirinha, a yummy citrus delight. We grubbed on this vegetarian plate of Lettuce Tacos: Cauliflower, Tuna Tatako and Fried Oyster. The Gazpacho was amazing!
Guac + chips! Each month Bartaco offers a special off-the-menu item and for the month of May they have the delicious Soft Shell Crab Tacos. A great seafood presentation and equally delish! I couldn’t believe it when I heard they offered Sweet Plantains! OMG, these things are so delicious just writing about them is making me hungry. I make them at home whenever possible and these were just as good as mine!Churros + Chocolate Sauce has got to be one of the best food pairs ever invented! Cheers to a fantastic team.
