Solutions

Hello friends! Thank you for a wonderful 2016 and welcome back!I took some much needed time off from the blogosphere. It’s nice to reset the wires every so often, also my kitchen remodel was a huge undertaking and needed my full attention, more on that coming soon.

I want to begin by sharing a couple of points on new year’s resolutions. No, I’m not going to bore you with yet another ‘know how’ list of ideas on how to meet your resolutions.

First off, I’m not a fan of the resolutions thing. I’m mean, lets be real, most people (and that used to be me too) start the new year with high hopes, demands and goals that for one reason or another are rarely met. I learned early on not to set myself up for disappointment, instead I prefer to wing things as they come.

If I want to work out I’ll just get up and go. If I want to be more organized I’ll ask for help. If I’m feeling overwhelmed I’ll take a long bath. If I need fulfillment I’ll look into my daughter’s beautiful face.

Here’s the point; if something is important enough to loose sleep over then tackle that issue and that issue first. Work on solutions, not resolutions then move on to other things. I tend to let life take its course because sometimes all I need is a new day to make sense of things.

I’m also a huge believer in the power of prayer especially during times of distress. (Psalm 55:22) But equally as important is prayer during times when you feel grateful. God loves an appreciative heart! (1 Thessalonians 5:16, 18)

There, that’s it. No magic formula, no big ‘tada’ moment, just some common sense and a little prayer.

I hope you’re all off to a good start. Here’s to 2017!

xxRosa
