Over the years I’m not sure my sense of style has changed much. It’s one of those things that I ponder about from time to time. What is a classic? What makes your style your own? Does anyone ever have a particular style of their own or do we just mimic what should otherwise come naturally based on our surroundings and mood. I guess that’s what fashion is, never a definitive look as much as it is reinventing the wheel.

I’ve mentioned how much I like to wear check. Remember this post? And then again here. It is one of those prints I enjoy styling regardless of the temperature outside. This time around I found this pretty and very forgiving tunic style shirt. Long and lean with pretty buttons going down the back and super comfortable. This print is fun and bold and looks chic any time of year. I think next time I’ll layer it under my favorite cable knit.

I’m also embracing the faux leather leggings this season. Yet again, another piece of wardrobe that goes a long way. Because they’re so versatile and comfortable you can choose to style these any way you wish. Whether it be pumps, flats, booties or riding boots, they look fabulous! But I do prefer tunic style shirts and sweaters when wearing leggings as opposed to shorter length tops.
