The month of August was as ush, super hot! I don’t know about you but wearing makeup in the height of summer can be a little tricky. Because of the overwhelming effect of sweat and heat I kept my makeup to a minimum with an old favorite and a couple of new treasures.

Lancome Mascara | Jane Iredale Lipstick | Urban Decay EyeshadowUnfortunately for me I wasn’t blessed with neither long or thick lashes. As a result I’m at the mercy of mascara. I’ve tried many different ones over the years and Lancome’s Hypnose Drama is hands down the best. If you’re like me and are looking for thickness (without the clumps) and length, Hypnose Drama delivers exactly that. The unusual shape of the brush glides nicely through the lashes coating each strand to the fullest! And I get about three month’s worth of product based on daily use.I was recently introduced to Jane Iredale Cosmetics and I’ve fallen in love with it! Besides all the gawgeous shadows and foundations I’m absolutely smitten with this PureMoist Lipstick! Just like the name suggests it delivers great moisture to lips. I love how it goes on without heaviness and it smells amazing. I’m looking forward to hydrated lips all winter long.The latest addition to my eye makeup repertoire is this ahhhmazing little trinket called Moondust in “Space Cowboy” by Urban Decay. And as you can imagine it’s all about the shimmer girls though a word of caution, a little goes a long way. This little shadow is a fantastic eye brightner. Dab a little in the middle of your lids to highlight a darker shade or just in the inside corners of your eyes and voila, sparkly eyes, not much else is needed! There’s my beauty roundup for the month of August.
