Today’s style post took a lot of thinking. Why you may ask? Well, because I feel like I’m kinda in the middle of a style genre conundrum. I like to think that I dress my age. I don’t want to be that lady that thinks she’s still 20something… Distressed denim is huge today and I wasn’t sure I could pull it off. After much thought I went ahead and bought these. And I absolutely love them!
I decided to wear them with the long cardigan to kinda dress them up a bit. What I didn’t want was to end up with a grundgy look. Don’t think I can pull that one off nor do I want to… If you decide to get these exact pair you have to size down. They are stretchy and they run BIG! As for the cardigan, man, this one is awesome! I will definitely be layering it all summer with other pieces including a trip to the beach!
BTW, in case you didn’t notice I cut 5 inches off my tresses. And no, I didn’t cry! 🙂

While there might be some trends best left to the youth, I don’t think distressed denim has to be one of them, especially when you style it in such a polished way. Nearly any age can participate in a trend, it all depends on how you style it.
