More often than not I tend to gravitate toward neutral tones when it comes to the master bedroom. I find that it exudes a sense of tranquility which is vital for a good night’s sleep. For the winter season I look for things that are cozy and comfy and I mix things up a little with layers of classic seasonal patterns.

I love playing with patterns, especially plaids. During the winter season you can find all sorts of plaids, tartans and checks to my heart’s content. They actually go well together and its quite easy to accomplish. Just pick a color theme, pair smaller patterns with larger ones and add a few pieces for accent, and voila!
