I’m sharing my list of what I’m packing for a few days of our now annual trip to the beautiful coastal town of Old Orchard Beach in Maine. The weather is sure to be warm and beautiful, although slighlty on the cooler side since we’re traveling further up north. We’re staying in what is the norm, a cute motel (but not your typical motel motel you would find next to a gas station, in case you’re wondering!) and is right on the water. Last year we stayed at a different place but this year we wanted to be closer to the center of town. I’m hoping that as we explore the area more and more, we’ll narrow down what will eventually become our future location stay for good.
Back to my packing list; I’ve packed a slightly monochromatic look in that the color scheme is quite basic (lots of coastal neutrals) and coordinated with simple wardrobe pieces. Two swim suits, two dresses and several cozy looks for chilly evenings. This packing list would also work well for other coastal destinations like Newport and Nantucket as the summer winds down.

Maine is known for their many beautiful coast lines and OOB is not without so I’m bringing my beach cruiser along with me. While it’s a workout, I can’t wait to go and explore some of the scenic trails around the coast. I also bought one of these wicker baskets for my bike after seeing them around town while in Newport. They’re just so pretty and it completes the vintage charm. They’re perfect for keeping a wallet, phone and a water bottle while you’re on the go!
