Newport’s Daffodil Days are in full bloom! Each April the City by the Sea welcomes visitors to enjoy the beauty of over 1,465,000 daffodils throughout town. Glor and I took these photos in a beautiful field of daffodils along the Cliff Walk behind Salve Regina University. The Cliff Walk is always a must-see if you are visiting the area for the first time, but it makes for an especially pretty walk when the daffodils make their appearance.🌼
After months of frigid New England weather seeing bright sunny faces pop up all over this beautiful coastal town is definitely cause for celebration. So much so that Newport has the entire month of April devoted with activites to their enjoyment. Newport’s Daffodil Days is an all-volunteer event that for 40 years has encouraged residents and businesses to beautify their gardens and public spaces with flowers. It’s a fun time to be in town to see the shops, local businesses, and homes dressed up for spring. Clearly even in the rain the flowers seem to make their own sunshine!☀️
