Shopping For New Jeans

Since embarking on my weightloss/workout journey I’ve found myself having to update my wardrobe, which brings me to today’s post. It’s safe to say that I’m ready to peel off the sweatpants and joggers and slip on new denim. The brands have already begun to roll out cute wardrobe ideas for the upcoming warmer seasons and I’m excited to try some of the latest jean trends.

If you’re looking to refresh your demin collection, here are a few of my top jean picks for the upcoming season…

new denim picks

Vintage straight jeans are the first on my new jeans list. I’m slowly tapering off the skinny jean trend with these as they’re fitted through the hip and thigh and with a nice straight leg. I love that they’re comfortable without being too baggy. Paired with mary janes, a cropped jacket and a ruffled collared tee they will take you places. Keeping it classy here ladies!

If you know me, you know that I wear white regardless of the season. Having said that I do wait till it gets warmer before I put on cropped jeans and expose my ankles to the elements. I love these demi-boot crop jeans in white wash. Again, slim through the hips and thigh but this time with a slim flare and a nice cropped kick. Always the perfect pair with a striped pullover for that classic nautical look!

While I’m not a fan of wide leg pants, I must admit these denim trousers are looking quite chic. Apparently denim trousers are the latest denim obsession, with a high rise and full-length leg. But this particular wide leg adds instant polish to whatever you’ve got on. I’d recommend a romantic top.

The relaxed boyfriend jean in all-day stretch is the perfect kind of denim that you wear for doing all your errands. Kinda like your boyfriend, you take him along to all of your favorite places on any given day. Pair them with a crisp white shirt and your favorite kicks for an even better fit.

And how about these low-rise baggy jeans. Low rise, remember them?! Not that I’ll be wearing them much, but, these are pretty darn cool. They’re a bit slouchy with that Y2K-inspired hip-hugging low rise and a touch of distressed on the thigh. I mean, moms are cool too, right? They’ll be fun heading into the summer season with a fun tee, roll up the hems, put on sandals and head to the beach, girl you got this!

And finally these stovepipe jeans are probably the must have jeans, imo. They consist of that complete holds-you-in sorcery with a not-too-skinny, not-too-wide straight leg. Perfect if like me, you’re transitioning from the skinny jeans.
