Shopping for a great pair of stylish winter boots is always fun for me. I always look forward to JCrew coming out with a great selection year after year. Some return with subtle new differences while others are spanking new to the scene. Today I’m sharing a couple of my personal faves that make an appearance year after year and newer ones for the pickings.
Elsa Lace-Up Boots
I love these boots, and for good reason. The appeal of these boots is all in the details—from the suede leather and metal lace brackets to the thick lug sole, the colorful contrast laces and cushioning around the ankle. Wear them with everything from your Sunday morning sweats to a Thursday night slip dress and oversized sweater, you really can’t go wrong.
The pair I have are old, I bouth them two seasons ago. There are subtle differences between these and the newer ones but I love them just he same. TTS

Meet Gwen, JCrew’s newest collection of boots with a rugged, durable lug sole that looks great and works hard. Think of these lace-up leather boots like a more refined take on a classic combat boot, with a slightly taller shaft. There’s a zipper on the inside of the boot shaft for easier on-off wearability.
I honestly don’t like this new look. I think they’re just bulky-boxy-ish and not at all like the originals, the ones I have. Those came out three years ago and the new style is far from the original look. To me they convey a softer, more feminine style that I totally love. TTS
