As I put together this post I learn that there is currently another snowfall heading our way. New England is now officially a winter wonderland. Lots of snow everywhere, temperatures dropping well below 30º and bright sunny skies to lighten up every kid’s playful mood!
Although February is by all intents and purposes a ‘short’ month, it can really be a drag. It’s also peak winter season here in the northeast and filling the month with fun activities that embraces winter, like skiing, snow tubing or ice skating helps break up the winter blues. Adding classic cozy pieces to your winter wardrobe heightens your look and ties it all up.

Living in New England means wearing winter coats for months on end. Finding good ones that step up to the challenge of keeping your core warm is vital especially when you’re out to play. I like to invest in a couple of good quality coats, for different occasions, that I can wear throughout the season and will also last years to come. I layer up with cashmeres and chunky knits and piece it all together with fun prints, my personal fave being fair isle.
