Ultimate BLT Sandwich with Kayem Maplewood Bacon

In my humble opinion, I don’t believe every BLT is a good BLT. Today we’re talking about THE ultimate BLT sandwich featuring the most delicious slow cooked, thick-cut bacon! Between toasted slices of multigrain bread, tomato and avocado, this sandwich is also finished off with a super easy 3-ingredient sauce that I guarantee you’ll love.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, this is one of the most popular sandwiches in America. It’s quite simple to make and can easily transition from breakfast, to lunch and if you’re feeling a little lazy you can even make it for dinner. I’d add eggs to the breakfast sandwich, a handful of hearty crispy potato chips for lunch and with a side of pickled cucumber salad for the dinner.

The BLT is a sandwich that requires just a few simple ingredients you may already have at home. My family loves it and I make it all the time especially during the summer to bring along for picnics or beach trips. Today I’m making the sandwich with KAYEM’s extra-thick cut maplewood bacon, and let me tell you, this bacon brings the classic sandwich to a whole new level!

  4. Arrange the slices of bread on a cutting board and spread some of the sauce over each toast. Layer lettuce, tomato, avocado and bacon. Cut in half and serve.

What is a BLT?

Just in case you’re not up to speed, B is for bacon, in this case, I used thick maplewood KAYEM bacon, L is for lettuce, you can choose whichever you like and T is for tomatoes. That’s it! I happen to love avocados and had a couple laying around so I decided to add a few slices. Dress the sandwich with a nice sauce, like the one I made, and you’re good to go.

I’ve partnered with KAYEM for their amazing new bacon product. The New England based brand is known for their Fenway Frank and selection of sausages and deli meat, but this fall they􏰐’re adding bacon to the mix. Available in Maplewood and Double Smoked, KAYEM’􏰉s bacon is handcrafted in small batches, has an extra􏰑 thick cut and a mouthwatering taste you won􏰉’t want to miss.

Look at those bacon slices! The maplewood flavor, let me tell you, is so, so good. I’m talking a perfect marriage of sweet and savory! The bacon is handcrafted and slow cooked in small batches for that amazing flavor. The thick cut pieces are especially great if you’re a hearty eater like me, no skimping here.
