The leaves are well on their way! It seems to me this year the color change began much quicker than in previous years. The temps have dipped especially at night, perfect for fires and cuddling. It’s also blazer weather!
I typically like to wear blazers in the fall. The styles for spring are also great but for me nothing spells blazer-weather than the fall season. Today I’m wearing a classic schoolboy blazer, and honestly, everyone should have one of these in their closet. I’ve had this one for a couple of years now and they come back year after year because they’re that good!
Blazers are the go-to item made to enhance your look at a moment’s notice. Dressed up or down, with or without jeans, layered with a crisp shirt and vest for a more preppy look or like I did, with a crew neck sweater for more warmth, blazers are the IT wardrobe items to wear now.
I’m also wearing the first of many plaid pairings! The fall season ushers in the reason for wearing plaids, checks, herringbone, houndstooth and of course tartan prints. I LOVE them all! And thank goodness for the fabric gods who came up with the idea of all things elastane!
I’m wearing the Chatham ankle pants in Plaid. I’m very weary of all-wool pants because they tend to be very restrictive and are usually lined with an added layer. I love that these are made with a cotton bi-stretch material with elastane for maximum comfort and movement. They have a slightly higher waist with a hidden zip on the side and they feel like butter on!
