It was a hot one, in the high eighties to be exact, but I ain’t complaining! Over the years I’ve learned to embrace our hot endless summer days because winters are far too long and yucky. Ok, enough of the rant and onto the summer fun. Glor and I went to one of our favorite local farms for berry picking and we had so much fun! Can’t wait to turn them into some serious treats! 
I wore a simple outfit for the day. And it wasn’t until after I got there did I realize how daring it was for me to even think about wearing white shorts to a blueberry farm! The potential for a messy outcome didn’t even cross my mind. Luckily there were no accidents. My hands however did end up stained and sticky. My striped bow top is an old favorite from J.Crew, first worn here, and it just keeps on giving. You can see this season’s version here and here. And I’m totally crushing on this one. I love blue and white all summer long and my closet is starting to yell at me because it’s loaded with these colors along with the striped pattern. Don’t judge me, I just LOVE it!
The white shorts you can find just about anywhere. These are another personal favorite. The comfy boat shoes are also a summer classic. Aside from nautical trips they also go well with daily runs to the market or like I did here to the blueberry farm. I did think about what it would be like walking through the farm in sandals and I definitely didn’t want to end up with messy blue stained toes so the choice was an easy one to make.
I also LOVE my giant French straw basket! I’ve brought it along with me to the beach, to the grocery store, I’ve used it for picking flowers from my yard and now for packing my fresh berries! Mark & Graham has a fabulous selection of these bags and you can have them monogrammed too! It’s a great bag to have around for lugging all of your favorite summer items!
