Fall is on full blast but already it feels more like winter. The layers are piling on, not the leaves on the ground but the layers of clothing fitted for the temperatures.
I have a confession to make (or did I mention it once before on another post?) I hate layering for cold weather! Seriously it’s the thing I hate most about the cold season. Oh how the days of one piece outfits and sandals are so far behind… So we must make the best of the situation.
A camel coat is a great option for the season. Mine is an older one and comes with a fabulous detachable faux fur collar that I use when dressing up. I found this one and this one that are almost identical to the one I’m wearing. These coats cover a multitude of outfits and it’s a nice alternative to the usual boring black coat. 
I’ve recently discovered some great sweatshirts as an option for layering other than sweaters. They say leopard print is a neutral and I couldn’t agree more. This sweatshirt works great with my entire fall wardrobe and is super easy to style. I layered it with my trimmed poplin shirt for an extra touch of pattern. Did I mention I love to mix patterns?
