Welcome back friends! I hope your weekend was a great one. Derby Day came and left and I didn’t win, but I still want to strut around with my fascinator on. I just love wearing these head accessories, they make me feel so girly, don’t you think? Today’s style post is what I wore for Derby Day but really, you can style this look any time of the year! Dress | Pumps | Bag | Fascinator Headband, similar here | Necklace, similar | Ring | ScarfFor the Kentucky Derby party I wanted to wear something bold but I also wanted to stay clear of the Lilly look, in case you didn’t know Lilly Pulitzer dresses are synonymous with Derby Day. I was originally going to wear this off the shoulder dress but the forecast called for much cooler temps. So on a last minute whim I found this dress on the sale rack currently 50% off marking it down to just under $65. The colors are pretty and perfect for an evening event like the one I attended. The off the shoulder look will have to wait another day…
And how fabulous are these perforated white leather pumps?! I’m not a fan of white shoes but these I’m totally obsessed with! I found them at my local L&T but for some reason they’re not available online so linked another retailer for you. I love the cosmopolitan style of the shoes. They offer a sophisticated and chic look to your outfit without overdoing it. They are super comfortable and the leather is so soft they hug your feet. The block heels won’t sink in the grass which makes them the perfect shoe for outdoor events!
And now, about this wicker basket bag! I’ve been dying to get my hands on this one but couldn’t find myself indulging in the designer price. I absolutely love it! It’s actually really roomy and comes with it’s own hanky (I changed it to this one) it’s a great way to coordinate with all your outfits. Wicker and straw bags and totes are always popular during the summer months but these are trending big time. I love accessories that can go a long way. These are somewhat rustic but totally chic. They tend to be neutral in color so they’re the perfect summer bag that will go with just about anything you throw on. I’ve linked a bunch to choose from at different price points. I highly suggest you grab one.
Thanks for stopping by friends. I hope your week ahead is a great one!

Love your bold dress! I have to admit I get overwhelmed by all the Lily prints so I’m glad you chose a derby dress that wasn’t like everyone else. And agreed on the Cult Gaia bag…I like that you grabbed a different one because I cannot justify that price on a see through bag!

Hi Kristin, thanks for stopping by, I’ll make sure to visit. As much as I love Lilly dresses I just wanted something a little different. I also think the Gaia bag is just overplayed at this point! 😉
Love, love, love this look! And I agree, glad you went without another Lilly dress. The shoes are so perfect and I gotta get that bag!
