Seems like every mass retailer is now clamoring to cash in on the new-kid-on-the-block, (no pun intended). Kinda ironic that the granny-ish type style of this heel almost seems to come back from somewhere in the 60’s. HRH Queen Elizabeth is on point with the latest trends. If it’s cool enough for HRH to style then it’s good enough for me…
The suede grandma heel, the block heel, the glove heel, the ballerina heel, whatever you want to call it, has reached trend-peakness. I saw them all over the runways during my visit to NYC for NYFW and I have to say they are utterly chic! After all, what’s not to love about a classic low-stacked heel that won’t trip you over?image via Daily Mail UKimage | Harper’s Bazaarimage – LAFOTKAimage | Harper’s Bazaarimage | Table for Tweedimage | The Frugality image | The Gloss
In all honesty, I’m not a fan of flats. I never seem to find a pair that fits well. They’re either too narrow or too wide, too flat, no arch support or just simply boring. But with this year’s introduction of the block heel I think I may get the best of both. It’s a little mod and gives a totally fresh look to a boring flat – this is the style I want to pair with my favorite jeans or the black cigarette pants a la Audrey! Definitely a must for my fall wardrobe before the temps dip. However, I still won’t give up my stilettos…
Thanks for stopping by friends. Hope you’re having a great week thus far!
xx, Rosa

This is too cute! I love that you put HRH on the post! It is just funny, she is a granny and she certainly wears the shoes right. I like the trend, not sure if they’re for me but I do like them on others… BTW, your NYFW snaps were fun to watch!
