It is still officially summer but with just one week into September and LDW behind us we might as well call it autumn. September brings bright warm (and sometimes very rainy) days with crisp chilly nights. I absolutely love this time of year!
Unfortunately pumpkins don’t come right away but you may find little gourds at the supermarket, they’re a great way for introducing the fall season otherwise run outside and gather a bunch of cute little acorns! Sometimes decorating for the seasons can be challenging but I’ve come up with this super simple DIY to introduce autumn into the home. How stinking cute are these teacups and acorns!?!
This simple and cute way to incorporate the outdoors in for an early fall effect is self explanatory. Just grab a handful of acorns, wash thoroughly making sure there aren’t any critters and display in your favorite vintage teacups. That’s it! I have mine in the dining room on my buffet lending off a soft touch of fall decor.
You can also implement the same inexpensive idea by gathering a bunch of dried hydrangeas and displaying them in a basket. And my most favorite way to add a touch of autumn to the home is with amazing scented candles!
I hope this DIY serves as an inspiration to get your juices going for autumn decor. I’ll be jetting off to NYC this weekend for some NYFW fun. Follow along on Snapchat (rmd0610) or Instagram for sneak peeks!
Great idea! So simple and cute, I will def make it! Thanks for sharing. And have a great time at NYC, I’ll be jealously watching! 😉
