This past weekend was such a whirlwind. It was hot as heck one day, then it poured the next day and then perfect 80 degree weather with partly cloudy skies the next, which made for this perfect photo opt. I hope yours was a good one too.
While shopping for my daughter I happen to come across this dress. Similar in style to this one but with a more classic cut. I couldn’t help myself, I’m a sucker for stripes! I swear this dress will serve me well for years to come. Although I would’ve much prefer to be at the Cape wearing this dress, I have to say it wears very well in the city.
This will also probably be the last time I pull out my white handbags this year. Yes, I am one of those. I refuse to wear white after Labor Day, I’ll only wear winter white from that point on with the exception of a sharp oxford.
As for the sandals, thanks for the feedback gals! What a fiasco that was, although in all fairness Nordstrom did find a pair in Naples, Florida in my size and was willing to overnight them free of charge! But I decided to keep these silver ones since most of you voted for me to keep them. That basically means I’ll have to shop for the white ones next year since they’re currently out of stock…
