Prepping for the Newport Flower Show

The beginning of my favorite time of year has finally arrived! I’m now frantically prepping for this year’s 21st Annual Newport Flower Show. This weekend promises to bring plenty of enjoyment on an absolute gorgeous setting and I just can’t even wait!

With all the excitement going on I wanted to share my suggestions on what to wear to this amazing annual event. Since I’ve yet to visit the Kentucky Derby donning a beautiful hat naturally my next choice for doing so is to the Newport Flower Show. This is a must, I kid you not! Hopefully the weather will cooperate as it has in the years I’ve attended and as such you need a great hat. If you don’t already have one don’t fret because they’ll be plenty for you to choose from on the premises.

SHOP HATS

Next suggestion on the list would be comfortable dresses. In my humble opinion tunic tops or dresses are by far the most versatile, comfy and classic chic, think Jacqueline Kennedy! Off-the-shoulder dresses are super popular right now and you can’t go wrong with a Lilly, seersucker or gingham!

SHOP TUNICS

And of course no sun dress is ever complete without the perfect pair of footsies. Wedges are for summer what HUNTERS are for winter! They are comfortable, stylish and easy to wear. And because we’ll be outdoors they are the perfect shoe for wearing on the grass, no worries about having your little heels digging into the soil!wedges

Of course there is plenty more to fuss about aside from these basic needs. Make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a nice tote where you can stash your camera, cardigan and flats if the need arises and always bring your portable charger, trust me you’ll need it!
