Hello friends and welcome back! Hope you’ve all been great! Sorry I’ve been MIA on this platform but sometimes life just gets in the way, not necessarily in a bad way, just in incredibly busy ways. And the fact that the weather in CT went from 75+ degrees to a mere 50ish in just hours doesn’t help. Anyway, on to this week’s beginning post…
If you follow me on Instagram or my FB page (sorry, not ready for snapchat yet) you know I’ve been doing a little food travel. I had the most amazing fun at this year’s 10th annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival held at the marvelous Marble House mansion. Because I couldn’t possibly post every single photo I took at the event I’m sharing a glimpse (and I literally mean a glimpse) of what the event is made up of. I’m talking about what seemed like an endless selection of delectable food, the finest wines and liquors from around the region and some of the most exquisite desserts you can lay your eyes on!
If you’ve never been, I implore you to visit next year! Of course wine and food wasn’t all there was to enjoy. Imagine fantastic music bellowing throughout, incredibly talented cooks and chefs doing live presentations, special guests like Martha Stewart and Jacques Pepin greeting and signing your copy of their latest book, every cooking gadget you can think of on display for you to try and a phenomenal view to tie it all in; it just doesn’t get better than that!
I can’t wait to do it all again next year!
Looks like it was quite the event, and some of the food looks just divine! Glad it took place before the weather took a turn for the freezing.
