The last of summer is officially upon us (sigh) but today’s post is a fun recap of last week’s visit to New York City.

If you stay up to date with the hustle and bustle of fashion week you know what I mean. Being around fantastic people and all the lovely things they do is quite a rush.
My color of choice was red which is perhaps (second to black) my most favorite outfit color. The ponte dress from J.Crew Factory was perfect for the occasion. Simple, comfortable and classy enough for evening affairs and since fall is in the air I thought the Ann Taylor perforated booties were a cute touch of chic.
First stop was Tresemme’s runway 24 hour studio. I had the talented and quite entertaining @edwardsizzahands (yes that’s the name he goes by) do my hair after a tumultuous experience with the first hairdresser, more on that at a later time. And off I went to rock the rest of my day with a fantastic blowout!
I met up with beautiful fellow CT blogger Lydia of Chic on The Cheap for the MODE NYFW after party at Le District. The location was absolutely breathtaking (but what isn’t when you’re by the Hudson). The music, food, drinks and all the pretty people we were surrounded with were just as great.
The pictures were taken right outside the venue where gorgeous floral bouquets were hanging from trees! Yep, fresh flowers hanging from the trees causing a cascade of colorful beauty and the harbor view was nothing short of breathtaking! All in all it was a fantastically fun day and can’t wait to repeat!
