CT Farms to Table

CT Farm Table Cook Book Anyone else a fan of cook books? I mean, with all the technology we have, particularly Pinterest, I still prefer to hold a book in my hands rather than read from the pad. I don’t know, call me old fashion but I just love to browse through a book versus the screen.

When Tracey Medeiros approached me to take a look at her latest book, The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook, I was indeed excited! Anytime I’m asked to support our local businesses and in this case an author with a love for farms, organic ingredients, great restaurants and a knack for cooking, I’m always happy to oblige. I’m a huge believer in the local industry and I love to show my support.

The book offers a beautiful layout of amazing recipes from all over Connecticut. Also available is The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook YouTube Channel where Tracey brings the recipes to life in a friendly and educational way. But you don’t have to live in Connecticut in order to savor some of the amazing recipes featured in the book. You can easily get your hands on the cook book now available online and in most book stores.
CT cook books.Already my favorite recipe is “Saunder’s Farm Arugula Salad with Orange Vinaigrette and Harvest Moon Cheese,” on page 60. Remember this post, where I talk about how much I love arugula, the recipe in the book is a celebrity version of my humble creation.

The runner up recipe is on page  54, the “Late Summer CT Heirloom Tomato Salad,” so refreshing. Similar to a Caprese Salad this one features humungous, gorgeous and flavorful heirloom tomatoes. It happens to be peak season for tomatoes so this recipe is perfect! If you’re looking for more great earthy and comforting recipes to add to your cooking repertoire look no further than The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook. The Connecticut Farm Table CookbookFor my local readers, Tracey will be having book signing events in the months ahead.
