Hello friends, welcome back! It’s no secret I love flowers. I like to talk about them, grow them heck I’m even named after one of them. But most of all I love to display them throughout the house especially when I’ve just picked them straight from the garden!I’ve written posts on how to decorate with flowers and this is just another small example of how easy it is to vamp up a room with flowers. Not much else can replace the beauty and focal point that flowers create. I’m not sure I have a favorite type of flower but I must say that peonies are definitely one of my top 5! I love roses and I absolutely adore the gorgeous blue and pink hydrangeas that come out this time of year especially the ones I see by the shore adorning all the beautiful summer cottages.Glass Cup, HomeGoods | Tray, Pier 1 Imports | Candles, Anthropologie
I plucked these beauties earlier in the week from my garden and I arranged them in this cute little vintage inspired cup. I love to display them in traditional vases but sometimes I like to get a little creative and use other items too. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you know I’ve posted various pics of my pale pink peonies as well.
I just loved the brightness of these white ones in the family room. I made a few other miniature versions of this arrangement for my daughter’s room, the kitchen and my bedroom as well. I must’ve gotten close to three dozen huge flowers from my garden, not including the smaller buds. If you should ever get a chance to plant peonies I highly recommend you do especially the pink ones because they release a mesmerizing scent!
Do you have a favorite flower? How do you display them?
