Up until now I wasn’t sure I wanted to include my bedroom as part of the decor series on the blog, but since I’m beginning to do a bit of spring cleaning, why not…

I like to coordinate my decor along with the seasons. But it can get a little pricey if I’m not careful. Having said that, the main focus of today’s home decor post is about giving your bedding a little face lift quickly and inexpensively.
Spring is finally a couple of weeks away, yay, so I gathered some pieces to give my bedroom a little Spring feel. Updating your bedding doesn’t have to be expensive. Starting with colorful pillows to brighten things up a bit I purchased these and the comforter at Homegoods for great prices. Then I splurged a little on the sheets at Pottery Barn.
A new light down comforter is a great piece to begin with. Since it will be getting warmer, the heavy comforters are no longer needed. This one by Tommy Bahama is absolutely fabulous! It’s is super soft and cozy and when paired with the luxe 700 count sheets I really don’t ever want to leave the bed!
The bright pillows is what makes the statement! They bring so much color that you think you’ve changed the entire room. Fresh flowers too make a huge impact in interior decor. They are a must in my house, whether in the bedroom, kitchen, family room or bathroom, they brighten up the rooms instantly. And tulips in particular always makes me feel that Spring isn’t too far away.
I hope these simple tips for updating your budoir will inspire you to make a quick makeover. Your room will look fabulous, you’ll love it, and more importantly, you’ll feel awesome when you finally go to bed! And remember, the same concept can be applied to any other room in the house.
Wherever you are, I hope you’re starting to see signs of Spring!
Your bedroom is beautiful! Love all the colors you have!
