Pretty Stripes and Dots

Have you ever purchased something with the idea that you’ll get lots of mileage out of it? I have, many times. Then to find out you’ve only used or worn the thing once! Behold this pretty striped dress. I bought it last summer with the idea of wearing it for a couple of events I was invited to. But you know, a girl can’t be seen twice with the same outfit, right? So I wore it to my son’s high school graduation and it’s been sitting in the closet ever since. Not kidding!

Recently I found myself fishing for a couple of new spring dresses when I remembered I had this one. Unfortunately it’s too cold still to begin wearing sleeveless anything, hence the coat, but it’s certainly a pretty enough dress to wear to brunch or a bridal shower with a pretty cardigan or scarf. 

So the next time you’re thinking of getting something new, dig a little deeper in your closet. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you find!
