Marsala Lips & Nails

So I’ve decided to go with Pantone’s 2015 color of the year for lips and nails… Hello ladies! Today I wanted to share with you my take on this year’s color trend for lips and nails, #marsala. I found this pretty lipstick from Rimmel London although it’s actually called Bordeaux 124. It was highly recommended by seventeen magazine so I decided to give it a try. Because it’s a long lasting lipstick it is matte so I chose to add a little sheen with this awesome clear gloss.

I want to begin by saying that I really do think the lipstick is very pretty. Unfortunately I’m not sure I’ll be wearing it much. I found it to be quite dark and for those of you with much fairer skin tones you may end up with a sort of “eemo” look.  My take? I think I’ll leave the marsala lips for darker women with voluptuous lips. It is definitely a beautiful color for them.

As for the nails, I can totally do anytime! It’a fun color to sport in your hands and goes well with most skin tones.
