Camel & Stripes

Hello everyone! Hope you’ve all had a great weekend. It’s the start of a new week and thinking about what to wear for the impending day seems like a chore to me. Not to mention a recent visit that turned into a nightmare!

#camelcoat3#camelcoat4#camelcoat2#camelcoat7#lorenhope2#lorenhope1#jcrewjeans1#jcrewjeans#camelcoat1#camelcoat8#camelcoat9#camelcoat6Coat, Express, similar here and here | Top, Ann Taylor | Jeans, JCrew, on sale now!

Necklace, JCrew | Cuff Bracelet, Loren Hope | Chevron & Xross rings, Express

Bag, Kate Spade, similar | Shoes, Guess via TJMaxx, similar here

First off don’t mind the differences in lighting. It happened to be a ridiculously windy and frigid day, (note the hair) and we couldn’t keep up with the clouds moving in and out of the sunlight. And as for my “recent visit,” in case you noticed, one cheek is fuller than the other. Yep, a dental visit the day before, wah. A blogger’s duty can’t be put on hold…

Moving forward, this camel coat happens to be one of those awesome buys that go way back when! I bought it about 10 years ago at Express and it is as stylish today as it was back then! Camel is truly an under appreciated color!

And in keeping with a certain minimalist theme, (somehow that sounds easy to put together on a whim) I thought camel and stripes would be a nice choice. BTW, the stripes are actually navy sequins, (giant grin). If you’ve been following me all along you already know stripes are a giant part of my wardrobe. So picking this top and pairing it with simple jeans was a no brainer. The leopard print shoes was an obvious choice since everyone knows that stripes and leopard always go hand in hand. And as for the jeans, well that’s a given, JCrew never disappoints!

If you have stripes in your closet keep it in the fore because it’s an easy go-to print that keeps on giving, i.e. stripes/florals, stripes/dots, stripes/animal prints and solids!

So my outfit chore wasn’t so difficult after all. 😉 Thanks for the love everyone and keep those emails coming. Thank you for the comments and suggestions, I’m listening. Have a fantastic week and see you in the next post!
