The Little White Dress

My favorite time of the year is finally manifesting itself in my wardrobe. To me, wearing white outfits only belong to the warm weather months. And like I mentioned before, once Memorial Day weekend arrives, white is my color of choice for pretty much the rest of the season. Today I embrace white and lace and its romantic allure. I happened to get married in the month of June, and as such I’m definitely a sucker for the feminine look that this little white dress and its eyelet lace bestows.WHITE DRESS2

(Dress, The Limited, on sale | Wedge Sandals, Aldo, old, but I like these too | Bag, Dooney & Bourke via Macy’s | Pearls, Link Necklace, similar & Bracelet, Ann Taylor | Watch, MKors via Nordstrom | Ring, Express)

I kept this look simple by coordinating it with neutral tones. If I were to wear this for an evening event I would have opted for dark shoes and bag and larger statement necklace. All in all, I achieved the look I was going for, soft, feminine, casual and comfortable. I especially love how the details of the lace is similar to clam shells, totally in tune with summer’s nautical theme.

Like the “little black dress,” a girl should also have her “little white dress” in the closet ready to wear all summer long!

Thanks for stopping by friends!

Thnk you! I too love the sheath style dresses for that same reason, they are so easy to wear and they flatter most body shapes! 🙂

Thanks Olivia! I agree, I tend to use gold more so with whites, I think it gives off a softer feel than if you were to use silver. Glad you stopped by! 🙂
