One holiday down and another on its way. Seems like every time you turn around there is something new to celebrate. Which brings me to my latest style crush, Tartan!
Sometimes referred to as Plaid, Tartan is such a pretty and handsome design. I am absolutely in love, no, I’m obsessed with this timeless pattern! During the holiday season we tend to see this design come alive. It is easy to find and easy to sport. It is traditional, chic and bold, all of the elements I look for in fashion. I love that you can find it in a variation of colors and themes although I like to stick to the original red. From the office to the after party to home decor this pattern is alive and well. It’s the new Black!
The velveteen jacket lends a smooth and festive touch to the entire outfit. It’s another popular fabric during the winter months and when combined with Tartan it is brought to a whole new level, it shouts timeless elegance. The pearl choker pulls it altogether with grace.

Children are particularly cute in this pattern. There is a myriad of coordinating pieces for creating children’s outfits with this design. During the holiday season it is seen and worn by both girls and boys. Take advantage of the pattern and style it well!
And for the home Tartan is such an elegant way to create a festive theme. Easy to find and easy to coordinate even with a few existing pieces you may already have. Here are just a few of my favorite things to accent the home with.
A table runner can wake up the simplest of tables. Give your favorite Hostess a nice bottle of wine in a pretty tote! Pillows are by far the easiest way to liven up any room immediately creating a festive theme. And offer hospitality to the entrance of your home with a pretty wreath all bowed up in Tartan.
