As you already know, I love seasonal decorating and just a tiny bit of decor or scented candles gets me all excited about the new season. Another way I enjoy getting creative with seasonal decor is with our china and linens. And it’s another way to help set up new experiences for our family dinners.
For our kitchen table I wanted to achieve a fresh take on casual dining so I started with my plain white everyday dishes layered with my vintage blue spode china. Then I wanted an accent color so I chose simple green napkins. I used my seagrass placemats along with the cute braided napkin holders, but the beautiful new tablecloth is what really brightened and pulled everything together with the green and blue color combo to create my autumn-themed tablescape.
This tablescape is super easy to recreate since you can get dried “florals” from your local grocery store or your own back yard if you have hydrangeas drying away this time of year. My vintage blue spode china is a favorite summer pattern, but can actually transition nicely into the fall and winter months when paired with other accent colors like I did and can look extra festive when you use gold flatware.
