With the temperatures quickly dropping I start to look for items (in my closet) to complete my look without adding too many layers; yet. Few pieces of clothing make you look polished like a great blazer, and as the weather cools I reach for a couple of my favorites again and again in lieu of a coat. Whether you’re topping off an easy combo of a sweater and jeans, a great blazer will carry you through the fall in chic, cozy style. Today I’m rounding up a few favorites (some I’ve got) and some new ones I’ve got my eye on as well.
- Oversized blazers are especially popular in the fall, and Target just came out with the most exceptionally tailored casual blazer yet. Hands down. The price point is fantastic at just $45 and is available in black and tan, I added the tan to my collection, (you can see it here). I love wearing mine all the time because the color is just perfect!
- You can not not have a classic navy blazer. And a navy textured blazer is especially a must have for the fall and winter seasons. This navy one from BODEN looks extra chic paired with denim or slacks. I love the tortoise buttons and is beautifully cut to a semi-fitted style.
- The good ‘ole double breasted blazer in black is back. The Collection double-breasted blazer in wool blend from J. Crew with its gold buttons will finish any look with old money style. And it’s on sale for a limited time extra 30% off, use code SALETIME.
- While I prefer velvet, I find myself incredibly drawn to this gorgeous red blazer in corduroy.
- And who doesn’t appreciate a good patchwork blazer?! I’ve got my eyes on this one from Anthropologie. I really like that it’s not crazy patchy, just a little less busy from the Ralph Lauren version and at a fraction of the price! The colors coordinate with a broad range of sweaters or tops for the perfect preppy New England look.
