I love playing dress up. I think it’s something all girls do from time to time no matter the age. I’m styling this fabulous little frock from Jason Wu’s new holiday collection and guess just how affordable it is!
Just so you know, when we took these pictures it was pouring cats and dogs! My daughter was freezing cold even though she was bundled up in a coat but for whatever reason, I was feeling unseasonably great! FYI, peri-menopause in full effect! Ok, maybe a little TMI, but seriously, I felt fabulous wearing this little frock.
Truth be told, I’ve had this dress in my closet for nearly three weeks! So many reasons why I hadn’t had the chance to take photos with it on. The weather, no photog available or I was simply not up for the task. It’s not everyday a dress up day for me and nor is everyday a fashionably perfect day either. Real life mom/wife here. You’re most likely to find me in pjs or sweats most days…
So I said the heck with the weather and threw it on for a nice brunch with the family. I found this mesh midi dress here. One day I was making an Amazon return at my local Kohl’s when I decided to take a peek around the store and I came across Jason Wu’s holiday collection. It’s such a fun dress to wear. I love the midi style length and the dainty dot mesh overlay. It’s such a nice little black dress to twirl around in for the festive season!
The bold red velvet pearl headband was a Walmart find and for obvious reasons it has since sold out. But don’t despair, I scoured the internet and found similar ones here, here and here. I love the whole headband trend. It’s so pretty and girly. And since I love having my hair up, a head band is a super easy way to add a touch of glam to your do.
