One of my favorite color combos EVER is the blue (& white) with yellow! I mean, how can you not adore these colors together?! I happen to have a neighbor who owns a farm and I stopped by to take these pics by their giant bush of Forsythia. You can find these bushes everywhere come spring time and I find them to be vibrant and beautiful and happy. I walked over to the farm and took these pictures knowing that the yellow bush would be the perfect background color for my outfit.
And talking about perfection, how do you like this shirtdress? I love all kinds of dresses but shirt dresses are my absolute favorites for everyday wear. They are chic, comfortable and super flattering on every body type. I loved the bold stripes on this one. The material is slightly on the thicker end which is great because nothing shows through and it’s also very soft. It’s a very well made dress and I love that all the stripes meet perfectly (I hate it when stripes don’t line up at the seams). I’m wearing my regular size but you probably can’t tell that I gathered it quite a bit in the back. It is VERY roomy but after trying on a smaller size that one was too small especially in the chest area. So I’ll keep this one and perhaps it’ll shrink a bit once I wash and dry.
One thing you may have noticed is my affinity for neckerchiefs this season. You can see me wearing them here, here and here. I love them and I love the look you achieve with this simple accessory. I took this pineapple striped one and created a head band and tied a bow. I think it just looks so darling!
