Today I’m sharing a simple way to dress for a Kentucky Derby event or any shindig for that matter. Any time I get the opportunity to bust out a hat I’m all in. I wish I could wear them more frequently but American trends just doesn’t allow for such couture. So every year when the Kentucky Derby rolls around I bring out a hat. Usually you can find me wearing a cute one either at the beach or when attending events like the Newport Flower Show.
Today’s style post is an ode to Derby Day. A simple blue and white dotted dress comes to life with the contrast of a large down-brim fuschia hat. It’s perhaps my most favorite hat style next to the sun hat or the ever popular large floppy. But if hats aren’t your thing you can always opt for a super chic fascinator like this one or this one.
