Crushing On Velvet

One of winter’s biggest and oldest trend is also one of my personal favorite! Velvet always seems to bring on nods of vintage. I happen to love all things vintage and although not necessarily in my wardrobe except for this fabric. I love its flowy silhouette even when slightly wrinkled. Velvet to me exudes timeless chic. Wether dresses, bottoms, shoes, and yes, even home decor, velvet is still having a major moment!

My velvet coat is an oldie but goodie I purchased about 10 years ago! I always wear it to formal events, dinners and the like in the winter and it just looks so classy and put together. I linked an almost identical one. The luxe velvet top also comes in a lovely cameo rose which I think I’ll grab since they’ll make great transitional pieces for spring.

I thought the winter white wide leg crops were a great compliment to the grey and bold black but let me tell you, I froze my @ss during this shoot! I bet if I wore black crops I wouldn’t have felt the cold as much (or is it just me?)… My pumps were a party-look purchase from last fall and for under $40 I still get the most complement every time I wear them! I linked similar ones since these are sold out. FYI, my “clutch” is an old Estēe Lauder cosmetics bag I recycled…
