Happy Monday friends and welcome back! Today’s outfit is a favorite of mine for a couple of reasons. The mix of patterns, which I love to do and the fact that I can still wear sleeveless anything to get more mileage out of them by adding a light layer!

Fall is in the air and I’m loving it but when it comes to dressing for the fall season in Connecticut it can get a tad challenging. What with warm sunny days and very cool nights you’re left wondering what to wear that isn’t too light but not too bulky either. It only means one thing, light layers.

All summer I wore simple comfortable dresses when I remembered I had this one. I decided to pull it out and layer it with the scarf. Not only did the colors and patterns mingle well together but the outfit was totally on point for the amount of warmth needed. If you don’t already have a nice large plaid scarf now is the time to invest in one. This one has the beautiful colors you can enjoy all season and it’s incredibly soft. 

I embrace light layers and this is one way I can do it without any fuss. It’s also a great way to get more mileage out of your sleeveless outfits.
