This past weekend we got yet another teaser of spring weather. And although this winter really hasn’t been all that bad, when compared to previous years, I just can’t wait till it finally stays warm again. Not only is the warm weather a constant yearn but the fact that all the shops are literally stocked with all things spring brings me to today’s theme.

I picked up this dress a few weeks back and I just finally got a chance to wear it outside. If you’ve been following me for a while you know I love sheath dresses. This one isn’t technically a sheath but I love the simple cut. What drew me to this dress was the funnel neck. It hugs the neck area but not so high that it looks like a turtle neck. And since it’s a ‘winter’ dress it’s perfect for keeping the neckline protected from the cold.

And what do you think of my paring this dress color with the red fringe heels? These too I’ve had sitting in my closet for a little while waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. In any case I thought it was a fun way to coordinate these two colors in block style!
