For those of you in the Northeast area who love to shop, get your shopping shoes ready and head over to Boscov’s at Westfield Meriden Mall! A Pennsylvania-based department store chain, Boscov’s just opened its latest store in Connecticut. This is the first New England location making it the 44th store most of which are located throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Delaware and Ohio.
Last week I had a chance to visit Boscov’s at their newest location at Westfield Meriden Mall in Connecticut before its official grand opening date of October 10, 2015. I and a few other bloggers previewed the store as part of a special promotion and charity benefit. The promotion offered shoppers the opportunity to also preview and shop the store in exchange for a $5.00 donation to support a local non-profit organization.
Boscov’s is a family owned and operated department store since 1914. With a wide selection of fashion for men, women and children, home furnishings and even a chocolate bar, it specializes in everyday low prices (no coupons), designer brands, superb customer service and free gift wrapping every day of the year!
We were greeted by a wonderful staff and had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Boscov senior and Mr. Boscov Jr. They were delighted we attended the event and gave us a little tour of the store.
With it’s grand opening the Meriden store will be holding a few events throughout October, including fashion week from Sunday, October 25th through Friday October 30th, live concert series with special guests Shirley Jones, Patrick Cassidy and Elvis Aaron Presley Jr. Events will conclude with a Halloween Extravaganza on October 31st.
